Daniel Pieri

Daniel Pieri, Jr.
Born July 7, 1951, passed away in Redlands, CA June 26, 2014. He is survived by his wife of almost 26 years, Mei Han, his sister Lynda Hobbs (Joe) and sister Yvonne Wilhusen (Jerry) both of Rolling Meadows, Ill. He was also beloved and will be deeply missed by Mei's family in Hong Kong and Australia.
 
Dan was born to Daniel Pieri and Anna Rossetti in Chicago, Ill. Dan was raised with his sisters in the Rolling Meadows suburb of Chicago. He received a BA degree from University of Chicago and his MSW from George Williams College. He began practice as a clinical therapist in Chicago for a short time before coming to So. California in 1986. He was licensed as a LCSW and worked at Patton State Hospital where he met Mei. Shortly before marrying Mei, Dan began working at Kaiser. They married later in 1988. He has been a Clinical Therapist for the past 26 years at Kaiser. While working at Kaiser, Dan attained a law degree, finishing at the top of his class in 1996. He passed the California Bar and became a licensed attorney later that same year.
 
Dan was also an accomplished chef and very knowledgeable about wine. He always enjoyed great meals and good wine with close friends. He was interested in the possibility of extra terrestrial life and enjoyed discussing law, clinical studies and really enjoyed traveling to the wine country, Hong Kong and Australia with Mei. He also stayed close with his sisters and childhood friends across the country.

Memorial Services were held at Cortner Chapel in Redlands CA, Wed. July 2, 2014. 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
