Jeannette Lieb Bell

I went to Harper College bk. in '69 nothing was out there we had gym class in an old horsebarn while building the gym graduated '72 Associate Degree Secretarial Science they didn't have specialty programs until a few years later. Started working as a secretary at UOP married Leonard Bell '74,worked at Union Oil Schaumburg (now Roosevelt Univ.campus) wish we had computers back then every letter had carbon copies any mistakes had to erase each copy by hand. I remember Happy Hour for drinks was always popular, going downtown for meetings at the Gaslight Club, The Millionaires Club even The Playboy Club. There was a bad snowstorm in '77 nobody could get out, Jennifer was born in '78. I was lucky enough to be a stay at home mom for a few years anyway. In '84 we divorced, it's true lawyers are the sharks at the bottom of the ocean. Time flies, I lived life in the fastlane thanks to dating an oil exec.for a while had the chance to travel to Hawaii at a golf tournement met Burt Lancaster & Bill Bixby, went to the Kentucky Derby in '86 saw Don Johnson, remember Miami Vice, he really was very short in his white suit. Back to reality, still live in Schaumburg w/Martin Daly met him in the 90's, have a beautiful dog Buckley, Choc.Lab and a Maine Coon Cat Lulu. Sorry, couldn't make it to the reunion had my parents wedding anniv.62 yrs.

Remember our blue gymsuits,my mom staying up late sewing Lieb on the back of it for 4 years in P.E. Remember Miss Dora Rose, toughest gym teacher I ever had, every Aug. when I got my new schedule, I always got her, I can't remember if it was '68 or '69 I got Miss Carlson what a relief I thought. We were playing girls softball & I hit a foul ball that broke one of those white diamond windows very high up on the building, she said I will have to pay for that, I said it was an accident, she said she was just kidding! Thank God!
