School Story:
It seems like forever ago but some memories come------helping run the NHS book store at midday, wondering at the smoking across-the-road crowd, football games, being in awe of cheerleaders and anyone that popular, athletic, capable, confident, etc., Mr. Allen and his controversial ideas, those gymsuits....., the wrestling demos at the school assemblies, near the start of the year I think (Jim Savage ever involved in one of those?), Mrs. Bringe (sp.? ) teaching typing, Mr. Hughes and driver's ed. ("Don't laugh--some of my best students have learned to drive on a tractor!"--vindication!!), Nancy Gedman's dry wit, all of us so young, some of us moreso than others---as they say, everyone gets older but immaturity can last a lifetime--I guess there's more in memory than I would have thought.....
